We are a family firm of chartered accountants based in the Lune valley village of Caton near Lancaster. We offer free initial consultations and pride ourselves that we always remember that we work for you and will meet you at a time and a place that suits you.

Our founder and owner, Emma Sutcliffe FCA is a chartered accountant who trained with KPMG. After spending some years in industry as a financial manager looking after a £40m portfolio in a large utilities company I returned to general practice where I acted for 8 years as the office manager of a local Lancaster firm of Chartered Accountants, prior to establishing my own firm six years ago.

The accountant Emma Sutcliffe did not provide transparent fees, competitive rate or fixed fees as she states on her website, as she doubled her charges for a second trading account without any advanced notice. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, I had only traded for a couple of months and she doubled her fees. According to the Code of Ethics for Professional Accountants, she should provide an advance written agreement (240.4.) She provided no verbal or written agreement. No advanced notice.
